Worlds of Wonder
by Xander Riley
As I walked along the shore,
Singing o’er the ocean’s roar,
Traipsing through the silty gore,
On the beach I saw a door.
No sign of wall, nor roof, nor floor,
It stood among the rocks and ore,
Shaking to my very core,
Hardly thinking anymore.
Moving toward it was a chore,
Every bone inside me sore.
Nevertheless, I opened the door
To find a new world to explore.
